Jaques St George Set, 1920s

Jaques made St George sets in a variety of price ranges from the 1820s-1930s. The top of the range early sets are large and desirable, and expensive - as much as a Staunton for the very rare 4.25" sets. But, they are rarely stamped. They continued making them until the 1930s. At, the bottom end of the range, they were cheap, at only 4 p (pre-decimal 9d) in a cardboard box. This a somewhat better one, in good condition and in its original box.
